1914: Jon Hedu was born 19 February in Canton, Ohio.
Parents Jon and Eva were of Romanian descent.

1931: Graduated, McKinley High School, Canton, Ohio.

1935 (circa): Graduated, University of Ohio, Degree in Art.

1935: Began work at Watertown Manufacturing Company




1940s: Worked on designs for "Watertown Ware"
for use by military.

WW2: Temporarily left Watertown Manufacturing Company
to serve in the Navy.

1946: "Lifetime" plastic dinnerware in production.

1940s-1950s: Designed "Monterey," "Balmoral," and "Woodbine."

1950s: (See photo, right.
Note rare pattern "Gulf Stream" on plate.)

1965 (circa): Left Watertown Manufacturing Company.

1960s-1980s: Worked as a designer in various capacities
for several companies.

1995: Died 18 September.
